Julia Burke is a registered psychologist delivering a range of proven psychology therapies to Queensland's Darling Downs region, with a practice based in Dalby.
Julia understands the unique challenges faced by rural communities as she supports individuals of all ages dealing with a wide range of mental health conditions. Her unwavering commitment to rural mental health shines through in her work.
Within her practice, Julia focuses on working with adults who have depression, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder. Her core therapies include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Helping People Get Back to Work
Following graduation as a psychology major, Julia worked for the Commonwealth government in a variety of workplace rehabilitation roles for 12 years. Supporting people with the challenge of returning to work was rewarding, however Julia wanted to do more for her clients on a therapeutic level as a psychologist.
Experience You Can Rely On
Julia's journey to becoming a registered psychologist was paved with a two-year internship with a private rehabilitation provider. During this time, she gained extensive experience working with Workcover, Department of Veteran Affairs, and Australian Defence Force clients. This diverse background equips Julia with a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health, rehabilitation, and the unique needs of her clients.
Committed to Ongoing Learning
Julia recently completed advanced training in EMDR and ACT. Her commitment to staying at the forefront of therapy techniques ensures that her clients receive the best possible care.
